Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board Hearing

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District located at 150 South 9^th St., El Centro, CA 92243.  The purpose of this hearing is to consider a request by United States Gypsum Co. (USG) located at 3810 W. Evan Hewes Hwy. in Imperial, CA for a Short Variance (02-23SHT). The requested Short Variance is for Condition B.3 of Permit to Operate No. 1130A as it pertains to the daily PM10 emission limit of the facility’s #6 Kettle Burner, which is listed below:

B.3 Combustion Sources - Combustion equipment shall not exceed any of the following emission limits. These limits are not applicable during startup modes.

Documentation in support of this request is on file at the District office, located at 150 South 9^th St., El Centro, CA 92243.
