Pursuant to Rule 206 of Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (ICAPCD) Rules and Regulations, the Air Pollution Control Officer (APCO) has made a preliminary decision to grant an Authority to Construct Permit to Western Mesquite

Mines, Inc. to add two (2) new Emergency Backup Generators to provide power to different operations at this location at the Mesquite Mines located at 6502 E. Highway 78 in Brawley, CA. and the removal of 19 future combustion engines.  Authority to Construct Permit No. 4006A-4 will include conditions to ensure that all ICAPCD requirements will be satisfied.

The Public has an opportunity to submit comments on the above proposed permit. Written comments regarding the proposed decision will be received by the ICAPCD for a period of thirty (30) days after publication of this notice.  The closing date for comments will be July 7^th, 2023.  Please direct your comments to the attention of Jesus Ramirez, by mailing them to Imperial County Air Pollution Control District, 150 South Ninth Street, El Centro, CA 92243, or via e-mail at jesusramirez@co.imperial.ca.us.
