MORTON BAY GEOTHERMAL, LLC. 

FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW GEOTHERMAL

POWER GENERATION PLANT

Pursuant to Rules 206 and 207 of Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (ICAPCD) Rules and Regulations, the Air Pollution Control Officer (APCO) has made a preliminary decision to grant a preliminary determination of compliance to Morton Bay Geothermal, LLC. for the construction of a new geothermal power generation plant to be located at APN 020-100-007 bounded by McDonald Rd. Davis Rd. and Schrimpf Rd. in Calipatria, CA. The proposed geothermal power generation plant will have a design rating of approximately 157 megawatts (MW) gross output, and an expected net output of approximately 140 MW.

 

The Public has an opportunity to submit comments on the above proposed project. Written comments regarding the proposed decision will be received by the ICAPCD for a period of thirty (30) days after publication of this notice.  The closing date for comments will be March 11, 2024.  Please direct your comments to the attention of Jesus Ramirez, by mailing them to Imperial County Air Pollution Control District, 150 South Ninth Street, El Centro, CA 92243, or via e-mail at jesusramirez@co.imperial.ca.us. The preliminary determination of compliance (PDOC), the permit application, and supporting documentation may be examined at the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District Office, located at 150 South Ninth Street, El Centro, CA 92243, and online at apcd.imperialcounty.org/public-notices/.
