Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (ICAPCD) located at 150 South 9^th St., El Centro, CA 92243. The purpose of this hearing is to consider a request from the Imperial Irrigation District (IID), located at 485 East Villa Avenue in El Centro, CA, for a Short Variance (No. 02-26SHT). The requested Short Variance is for Permit Condition No. C.1 of Permit to Operate (PTO) No. 2152C-4, pertaining to the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emission limit while operating under natural gas for Unit 2-2 at IID’s El Centro Generating Station. The condition reads as follows, specifically for the VOC emission limit under natural gas:

C.1.    “Unit 2 Stack emissions shall be limited to the following standards in Table 1:
