Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board Hearing

Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (ICAPCD) located at 150 South 9^th St., El Centro, CA 92243.  The purpose of this hearing is to consider a request by United States Gypsum Co. (USG), located at 3810 W. Evan Hewes Hwy. in Imperial, CA for a Short Variance (06-24SHT).  The requested Short Variance is for Condition B.2 of Permit to Operate No. 3542 as it pertains to the daily PM10 emission limit for Kiln #3 at the facility, which is listed below: 

 B.2       Kiln # 3 shall not exceed the following emission limits when siloxane is used in the Wallboard process:

Documentation in support of this request is on file at the ICAPCD office, located at 150 South 9^th St., El Centro, CA 92243.

All interested persons desiring to present evidence on this term may appear at the hearing, and upon being sworn, may provide testimony.  For additional information, contact the ICAPCD at 442-265-1800.
