Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board

Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (ICAPCD) located at 150 South 9^th St., El Centro, CA 92243. The purpose of this hearing is to consider a request by the United States Gypsum Company (USG), located at 3810 W. Evan Hewes Hwy. in Imperial, CA, for a Short Variance (09-25SHT). The requested Short Variance is for Condition B.1 of Permit to Operate (PTO) No. 3542, pertaining to the nitrogen oxides (NOx) emission factor for Kiln #3. The applicable section of Condition B.1 is listed below:

B.1      Kiln # 3 shall not exceed the following emission limits when producing Standard Wallboard.

Documentation in support of this request is on file at the ICAPCD office, located at 150 South 9^th St., El Centro, CA 92243.
